Welcome to PTB, Politics, Tacos and Beer, home of the public radio program, “The Signal: News, Information, and Analysis with Dino”. Broadcasting every Saturday from 12 pm to 1 pm on KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles on the Pacifica Radio Network.
Politics, Tacos, and Beer is our signature media contribution. We bring local, state, and national stakeholders, candidates, and political champions of culture and community to the table. We invite elected officials without slogans and remind everyone that politicians are people too. We talk about power, accountability, and what leadership looks like when the cameras and microphones are off. And yes, we ask the essential human question… What taco tells your story? You can learn a lot about a person that way.
Now fully engaged in the 2026 elections, the conversation is loud. It has become both the most meaningful and monumental election in recent history all the while still a spectacle, full of accusations and 30 second soundbites. Personality driven, emotionally charged, and shaped by a short form media world. Meanwhile, the decisions that shape daily life are often made locally by offices that rarely receive the scrutiny they deserve. That is where we focus.

The Signal is fearless talk radio rooted in Los Angeles and connected to the world. Hosted by journalist and occasional troublemaker Armando “Dino” Gudino, the program brings frontline voices into the studio. Elected officials, immigrant workers, legal advocates, artists, and organizers. People who live the policy others debate.
Dino’s style is grounded, and real. Expect deep dives into labor rights, immigration, drug policy, local power, and the occasional telescope aimed at the stars. The goal is simple. Cut through the noise, connect policy to lived experience and give listeners the context they need to think for themselves.
Serious issues. Cultural flavor. Real conversations served fresh.
Pull up and turn on the radio or web-stream. You will dig the vibe. I promise.
